Sean Paquet is a singer songwriter hailing from Michigan and he's about to drop his debut EP, Commodore. If you can imagine the banjo-infused passion of Mumford & Sons, mixed with Iron & Wine's gentle finger picking, wrapped in Ray LaMontagne's velvety vocals you'll have an idea of how this album will turn out. Commodore will be unique in that all of the songs on the EP are intertwined. Paquet wrote the lyrics to tell a fictional story about a man (the Commodore) and his adventures. Each song is a different element of his travels - from leaving home to captaining a pirate ship, his trials of love to making peace on the fields of war. The goal is for the album to paint a complete picture of who the Commodore is and to tell his story in a way similar to that of a short novel. The album is being funded by a Kickstarter campaign - to support or hear a sample follow the link:
